I regret to inform you that someone is using my credit license and business license details to offer personal loans. We have referred these matters to the police. Moneyvslifestyle is not a “retail trading entity” and it only has my credit license in it. Hence we don’t have a website up for it. We do not offer personal loans using our own funds. Via Mortgage Advice we can arrange a loan with a bank, but we never fund our own loans.

So far the scam seems to go like this.

  1. They contact you offering a personal loan and you complete their forms and they request the expected documents and ID to them.
  2. They then offer you a loan at a very good interest rate, but you have to pay either a loan application fee or a loan insurance which gets refunded after 3-6 months of good loan behavior.
  3. Once you pay them the money they disappear or they use your direct debit forms to clean out your bank account. When they get you to complete an assets and liabilities form they learn how much you have in your account ! Also note they are using personal bank details for people to make the deposit, not business bank details.

They are using an email account moneyvslifestyle@outlook.com This is not my email address and is the scammers address. I have sent them a cease and desist email but I doubt they will care. The mobile phone numbers they are using seem to change. So I guess after each scam they burn the numbers and go again.

The credit contract they use looks like a real contract but it does have missing inform.

Australian Credit Licence No. 477496 is not involved in this. please email Luke at l.scott@mortgageadvice.com.au if you have any questions.

I’m sorry to have to put this page up. But this is frustrating for all involved.
